- Which topic do you find most significant? Why? ❤
- I find scaffolding as a significant topic because in education, scaffolding is what you do first with kids, then for those students who are still struggling, you may need to differentiate by modifying an assignment perhaps giving them an activities and accommodations for students in their learning like giving them an accessible project and etc. In order to meet students where they are and appropriately scaffold a lesson, or differentiate instruction, you have to know the individual and collective zone of proximal development or the ZPD of your learners. So it is also better to use any kinds of scaffolding strategies or techniques that can be also helpful to students when it comes to their learning.
2. Which topic do you find most difficult to understand? Why? ❤
- The topic that I find the most difficult to understand is about the WebQuest because it contains six parts (a) the introduction-background information about a theme that students will investigate, (b) the achievable and feasible task-a common explanation of what learners are expected to do, (c) information sources provided by the teacher- generally links and websites for students to explore to accomplish the instructional duty, (d) a description of the process- a detailed procedure for learners to follow step by step process in fulfilling the task, (e) evaluation- conditions and rules for evaluating the learners' work , and (f) the conclusion-a a brief description of the project. (Dodge, 1997) which is difficult for me to extrapolate and WebQuest also requires a skillful person in technology that is why it is difficult for me to understand because to be honest I am not a fan of using technologies like the computer. In my own opinion, I disagree about the learning of the student using the technology because there are so many student who are not exposed yet in technologies and not all parents can provide computers or money to spend time in computer shop just to learn especially those students who are in the hinterlands then for example in the future if we are assigned in the school without a current, how can I teach the students using the technologies if there is no electricity? Well, it is just my own opinion. 😊
3. How do you find the use of our website (gg.gg)? Is it useful or not? Suggest ways to improve it. ❤
- The website (gg.gg) is very useful because it can help us to review our lesson using the internet. All the powerpoint and other learning product are all-in in the internet and we can easily downloaded it. I am very amazed of this website (gg.gg) because it is my first time to use this kind of learning material and It helps me a lot because I am able to access even though I am not in our computer laboratory and also it give us a good measure of information about our lesson. I wish the website (gg.gg) can be accessible even if there is no an internet connection because it is for the goods of those students who find difficulties of having internet connections.
4. The new paradigm of education is done by creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences. Was the semester inspiring and engaging to you as a student of ED 126? Why? ❤
- The semester for me was very inspiring because of the knowledge I gathered from this ED 126 subject. In our class, it's not just about a normal class that I experienced but both Ed 126 lecture and laboratory class gives us an activity and sharing in the class that leads me to be always present in the class. Thank you Sir Sam and Sir J for the knowledge you've shared to us! 😍
5. Suggest ways on how to improve the teaching and learning process in educational technology subject (ED 126)? ❤
- To improve the teaching and learning process, I suggest that it is much better to promote more student engagement because when students are engaged in every classroom activity, I believed that student learn more a lot and also as what I have mentioned above, it is also better to access websites without an internet connection. My last suggestion is to make a test on what you teach and teach what you intend to test.
